My computer is not loading. It shows the Windows XP startup screen...(where the dots go back and forth displaying thats it loading) and its stops. It just freezes. So I decided that it was time to reformat my comp anyway and I dont have anything important so I reformatted.

The problem still exists. Its frozen in thw windows start up screen. WTF!?!

sounds like a bad motherboard. Try booting into safe mode and see. If not maybe try changing your boot cycle in bios.

Shit, thats what I thought too. I cant even boot through safe mode.

I booted from CD ROM so I can reformat. That crap didnt help. I thought it was the motherboard or the hard drive. Either way, I guess its time to toss the bastard.

Thanks,

the hard drive would of made funny noises or would give you errors etc. The fact you are stuck at boot makes me think motherboard.

the boot sector of your hard drive could be bad....if you can, try and replace the boot.ini file
